There is a simple truism that still exists when it comes to placing tattoos for both men and women: Put it where it can be conveniently covered when necessary. While for the most part, the stigma of feminine tattoos and tattoos in general is lifting, there are still some places of employment that will not hire you if you have a tattoo that shows.
The common bicep area is okay, but that is a little too masculine for most feminine tattoos. Anywhere a typical shirt would cover is commonly okay, or above the knees.
That doesn’t mean that it is bad if you choose a more open and dramatic placement for your feminine tattoos, just remember that wrist bands, anklets, or feminine tattoos on the hands may limit your job prospects now and in the future.
Getting Your Feminine Tattoos Done
Picking a place to get your feminine tattoos is one of the most important decisions you can make. It is second only to the selection of the actual artwork you want.
The most beautiful piece of art will be ruined by a bad tattoo artist. Remember that, and don’t skimp when selecting the person who will hold the tattoo gun.
Ask friends who have feminine tattoos you admire where they got their work done. Visit shops in your area and look at pictures of work the artist has completed. Usually, he or she will have several of their own that they can personally show you.
Talk with the artist, and make sure you feel comfortable with their style, and personality, as well as the cleanliness of their shop.
Make sure the person who will ink your feminine tattoo always changes needles between customers! This is not an optional point. If they give you any excuses, or try to explain away reusing needles, thank them for their time and run quickly to the next tattoo parlor. Safety first when you are looking for someone to create your feminine tattoos.
